Together with the unforgettable days on Morgan’s dogsled expedition, your stay at Sandsjögården offers you something that has become increasingly rare in everyday life: Time, silence and the freedom to simply be.
Everything has been carefully arranged for you. Once you arrive, there is nothing left to plan.

🐾 Your programme – 6 Days of Nature, Sled Dogs & Time for Yourself
Day 1 – Arrival Day
Upon your arrival at Luleå Airport, your private transfer to Sandsjögården awaits.
You will settle into your lakeside accommodation before joining us in the lodge for a relaxed welcome dinner. We will get to know each other, introduce you to the week ahead and answer your questions.
Afterwards, the evening is entirely yours.
Day 2 – Kennel Adventure Day
After a generous breakfast, your first full day in Swedish Lapland begins.
Together with us, you will learn about canine behaviour, breeds, equipment and daily life in the kennel. You will experience how much knowledge, heart and respect go into working with the dogs every day – and become part of this special way of life yourself.
In the evening, we meet again for dinner in the lodge and prepare you for your upcoming wilderness adventure with Morgan.
Day 3–4 – Dogsledding Through the Wilderness
After an early breakfast, your transfer takes you to Wild Lapland, where Morgan and his extraordinary sled dogs are already waiting for you.
For the next two days, you will leave everyday life behind and immerse yourself in one of Europe’s last great wilderness regions. You’ll become part of the team. Together you will prepare the dogs, travel through the Arctic wilderness and share the small routines that naturally become part of life with sled dogs.
In the evening, a warm cabin on a remote island, a hearty meal and a comfortable bed await you. First, you will care for the dogs together.
The following morning, the dogs come first once again. Together you will prepare the teams before setting off once more, travelling through silent forests and across frozen lakes back to the husky farm.
Days 4 – Return to Sandsjögården
In the late afternoon, you return to Sandsjögården.
There is no programme waiting for you. Only time.
Time to arrive again, enjoy a hot shower, warm up in the lakeside sauna or simply let the impressions of the past few days settle.
After dinner in the lodge, the evening is entirely yours.
Day 5 – Your Time. Your Way.
This final full day belongs entirely to you and your own rhythm. Breakfast and dinner are served in the lodge. The hours in between are yours to spend exactly as you wish.
If you feel like another experience, we will be happy to arrange optional activities for you. Or perhaps you will choose … absolutely nothing at all.
Sometimes the greatest luxury is simply having nowhere you need to be and nothing expected of you.
Day 6 – Taking a Piece of Lapland Home with You
After a leisurely breakfast, there is still time to enjoy a few final moments before your transfer takes you back to Luleå Airport.
But not everything stays behind in Swedish Lapland.
Perhaps you will travel home with photographs and wonderful memories shared together. But perhaps you will also take something with you that is far less visible:
A quieter mind. A deeper presence in the moment. The simple joy of living in the here and now.
Options
Extend your stay to 8 days and optionally book another adventure, such as a snowshoe hike with a sled dog, an encounter with reindeer hosted by our Sámi partner, a snowmobile tour, or simply enjoy an additional free day by the lake.
🏠 Your Stay – Cosy, Consciously Simple, Authentically Scandinavian
You will stay in a typical Swedish holiday cottage with one or two bedrooms, a shower/WC (ecological dry toilet), an open-plan living area and a kitchenette.
Wi-Fi is available – but you will probably forget about it.
After the activities, the wood-fired lakeside sauna awaits you. If you are feeling brave, take the plunge into the ice hole – a sensation of pure aliveness.
Our kitchen will treat you to homemade full board – regional and nourishing, with a touch of Switzerland and Asia. Energising, honest and cooked with love.

The Husky Escape includes accommodation, all meals & beverages (excluding alcoholic beverages), clothing & equipment, sauna, use of snowshoes, the adventures described above and all required transfers.
Minimum age: 16 years
Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
