🐾 Your programme – 6 Days of Nature, Sled Dogs & Time for Yourself

Day 1 – Arrival Day

Upon your arrival at Luleå Airport, your private transfer to Sandsjögården awaits.

You will settle into your lakeside accommodation before joining us in the lodge for a relaxed welcome dinner. We will get to know each other, introduce you to the week ahead and answer your questions.

​

Afterwards, the evening is entirely yours.

​

Day 2 – Kennel Adventure Day

After a generous breakfast, your first full day in Swedish Lapland begins.

Together with us, you will learn about canine behaviour, breeds, equipment and daily life in the kennel. You will experience how much knowledge, heart and respect go into working with the dogs every day – and become part of this special way of life yourself.

In the evening, we meet again for dinner in the lodge and prepare you for your upcoming wilderness adventure with Morgan.

Day 3–5 – Dogsledding Through the Wilderness

After an early breakfast, your transfer takes you to Wild Lapland, where Morgan and his extraordinary sled dogs are already waiting for you.

​

For the next three days, you'll leave everyday life behind and immerse yourself in one of Europe's last great wilderness regions.

​

The trail opens up before you. The voices fade away. Your dogs settle into their natural rhythm – and you with them. All that remains is the sound of paws on fresh snow, the glide of runners along the trail and the quiet heartbeat of the Arctic wilderness.

Together, you'll travel through silent forests, across frozen lakes and into landscapes that few people ever get to experience. With every kilometre and every moment shared, trust grows.

You have become part of the team.

​

Life in the wilderness is wonderfully simple. The days are shaped by daylight, the weather and the rhythm of your huskies – not by a clock.

​

You'll share meals around the fire, spend your evenings in the warmth of the cabin, and each new morning begins when your eager teammates are ready for another day on the trail.

​

Days 5 – Return to Sandsjögården

In the late afternoon, you return to Sandsjögården.

There is no programme waiting for you. Only time.

Time to arrive again, enjoy a hot shower, warm up in the lakeside sauna or simply let the impressions of the past few days settle.

After dinner in the lodge, the evening is entirely yours.​

Day 6 – Taking a Piece of Lapland Home with You

After a leisurely breakfast, there is still time to enjoy a few final moments before your transfer takes you back to Luleå Airport.

​

But not everything stays behind in Swedish Lapland.

​

Perhaps you will travel home with photographs and wonderful memories shared together. But perhaps you will also take something with you that is far less visible:

A quieter mind. A deeper presence in the moment. The simple joy of living in the here and now.

Options
Extend your stay to 8 days and optionally book another adventure, such as a snowshoe hike with a sled dog, an encounter with reindeer hosted by our Sámi partner, a snowmobile tour, or simply enjoy an additional free day by the lake.

🏠 Your Stay – Cosy, Consciously Simple, Authentically Scandinavian

​

You will stay in a typical Swedish holiday cottage with one or two bedrooms, a shower/WC (ecological dry toilet), an open-plan living area and a kitchenette.

​

Wi-Fi is available – but you will probably forget about it.

​

After the activities, the wood-fired lakeside sauna awaits you. If you are feeling brave, take the plunge into the ice hole – a sensation of pure aliveness.

​

Our kitchen will treat you to homemade full board – regional and nourishing, with a touch of Switzerland and Asia. Energising, honest and cooked with love.

The Wild Lapland Winter Journey includes accommodation, all meals & beverages (excluding alcoholic beverages), clothing & equipment, sauna, use of snowshoes, the adventures described above and all required transfers.
